I am having problems uninstalling OMN. What should I do?

In rare cases, if a typical add/remove protocol is unsuccessful, you may also want to permanently delete the underlying Kontiki software which OMN uses to manage software downloads. If OMN is the only application on your computer which uses Kontiki software, the OMN uninstallation process described above will also delete all remnants of Kontiki software automatically. If, however, you have other software applications which also use Kontiki, then the uninstall process will only uninstall the OMN application. In this case, you may want to run the Kontiki uninstall software as a second step. Instructions for uninstalling Kontiki are shown below:

  • Run “KClean” to uninstall Kontiki software components.
    • Download “KClean.exe” to your computer. It is available here.
      • Double-click “KClean.exe” from your computer and run
the program. In the first dialog box (shown below), note the checkbox to
"Save my settings and download information." If you select this
checkbox, you will be able to retrieve your existing downloads if you
later decide to reinstall OMN (or other Kontiki applications). _If you
do not select this checkbox, you will lose your existing downloads if
you later decide to reinstall OMN.
      • Proceed with the process as shown below.

    For Macintosh:

  • Run “KClean-mac” to uninstall Kontiki software components.
    • Download “KClean-mac.zip” to your computer. It is available
here. It will automatically unzip to a file called “KClean” on you computer.
    • Double-click “KClean” to uninstall OMN. There are no program
      options.
