I am having problems installing OMN. What should I do?

First, verify that you have the proper system requirements to install OMN. They are:

Windows: Windows XP or Windows 2000

Macintosh: Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher

Furthermore, you must have "Power User" rights on your Windows machine to install OMN. (Once OMN is installed, you can run OMN as any user). To play programs, you should have Windows Media Player 7.1 or higher (on Windows), and Quicktime 6.5 or higher installed.

Most installation problems have to do with having earlier beta versions of OMN already installed. Very early beta versions of OMN software (released before July 2006) may not get automatically upgraded to the current functioning version. If you have one of these early versions, you should uninstall that version before installing OMN. Instructions on uninstalling OMN can be found here.

As of December 2006, we are working on software versions to support 1) Windows Vista and 2) Intel-based Macintosh platforms. We will update you when these versions become available.

If you continue to have problems installing OMN, please contact us at support@omn.org and we will investigate the issue.
